Is it your first trip to Europe or to France? <\/strong>Technically this will be my second time in France. My sister studied for one semester in London and during Christmas break we went out to visit her, while we were there we spent one day in Paris.
\nWhat is your feeling about this first experience in football in France?<\/strong>\u00a0 I am incredibly excited for this opportunity. Not only do I get to continue playing a sport that I have loved my whole life, but I have the opportunity to live in one of the most picturesque areas in Europe while working and making friends with people from a different culture. This is an extremely valuable experience to me in many different ways.<\/p>\n

What do you know about American Football in France\/Europe?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I know that Europe has been playing American football for about 30 or 35 years now and have developed three competitive divisions. Each country has their regional tournaments and Europe has a European cup where all the best teams compete for the title of the best team in Europe. I also know that many great athletes have started their NFL journey in Europe such as James Harrison and Kurt Warner.<\/p>\n

What do you know about the city of Thonon and the Black Panthers Football team?<\/strong> I know Thonon is a small town located on Lake Geneva, the town supports and cares for the team\u2019s success and the Black Panthers have reciprocated the support by consistently being one of the best teams in France.<\/p>\n

For how many years did you play at University?\u00a0 How many years have you been playing football all together? <\/strong>I have played football for about 15 years all together now. I played 2 seasons at a community college and then got a scholarship to a Division 1 school where I finished out my eligibility with 2 more seasons.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve played other positions in addition to LB, can you tell us about that?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Like most big kids, I started my career as an offensive and defensive lineman. I continued in those positions until I was a sophomore in high school, where I was then permanently converted to a middle linebacker in a 4-3 scheme. When I played at Ventura College I was given a package as a fullback during my sophomore year and contributed to the offense as a short yardage and \u201cmentality\u201d runner\/blocker.<\/p>\n

Have you played any other sports beside football?\u00a0 Which ones?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My favorite sport outside of football is skateboarding. I have been doing that since I was 8 years old. Although I have given up street skating, I still longboard and freestyle hills to this day. The more traditional sports I have experience with are; Basketball, futbol, volleyball, track and field, swimming and wrestling\/MMA.<\/p>\n

What was the best moment of your career?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2026 The worst?<\/strong> \u00a0Human happiness is not a linear progression it is a topographic map with many different peaks and valleys representing many different ways to be happy and sad. With this in mind, I really can\u2019t say what the best and worst moments of my career are. It has been a wild roller coaster ride of ups and downs. All the seasons, games, practices, film sessions, training sessions, rehab sessions and all the great memories from before and after practice and in the locker rooms\u2026they are all just experiences and all provide their own unique and cherished value<\/p>\n

What are your objectives for the upcoming season with the Black Panthers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be several ways I determine the success of my experience with the Black Panthers. The quality relationships that I am able to build will be my main factor of success, next will be winning a championship and bringing home some hardware and lastly will be the places I am able to travel to.<\/p>\n

Do you have a particular life philosophy? <\/strong>I\u2019ll end with some Quotes because someone else has already said it best. So if you can’t top it, steal from them and go out strong.<\/p>\n
